Shirley Robson Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was first awarded in 2004 in memory of Shirley Robson, mother of University council member Mark Robson. The scholarship value is £1000 for one year to an undergraduate or postgraduate student of Music at City University. In the words of Mark Robson:

“Three School of Arts students have now benefited from a Shirley Robson Memorial Scholarship, established after my mother died in 2003. She would have been as delighted to meet each of them at the annual awards ceremony as I and my family have been. £1000 can make a huge difference, and the enthusiasm and gratitude of these scholars has been rather humbling for me. It has been a huge pleasure and an honour to be able to provide a little help this way.”

The Worshipful Company of Saddlers
