Applying for the position

An application must contain the following parts:
- Cover letter, including contact information and an indication as to whether you have a Master’s degree (application for Ph.D. scholarship under 5+3 model) or not (application
under 4+4 model). - Motivation for applying for a 3gERP Ph.D. scholarship at DIKU
- Curriculum vitae
- Documentation of academic qualifications
- Documentation of other qualifications (if any) such as relevant practical experience
- If you have any publications (this is not required, though), copies of at most 2 publications (max. 20 pages each), including co-authorship statements.
The application must be submitted electronically. The individual parts should be formatted as plain text (Latin1 subset) or in Portable Document Format (PDF) and sent by email as a single ZIP formatted attachment to henglein-phd@diku.dk. Up to two letters of reference (this is helpful, but not required) may be submitted in support of an application. Applications are processed in two phases: an individual evaluation of the academic qualifications for the present Ph.D. scholarship; followed by a selection process amongst those applicants found qualified in the first phase. Applicants should be prepared to be interviewed (by phone and/or in person) in connection with the second phase.
Applications from all qualified candidates irrespective of age, sex, religion or ethnic background are invited.
Important dates
Deadline for applications and letters of reference: Thursday, April 2nd, 2007, 12:00 noon (Central European Summer Time). Expected start of Ph.D. position: May 1st, 2007, or as soon as possible thereafter, though no later than August 1st, 2007.
